Mary McCashin was born into the world of horses. Her grandfather, Arthur John McCashin, Sr was a bronze medalist in Show Jumping at the 1952 Helsinki Olympics. Mary's dad, Arthur John McCashin, Jr was a prominent horseman in North Carolina creating his own legacy.

Mary grew up in the barn - toddling after the vet, sitting on milk crates watching the farrier, and absorbing everything she could like a sponge.

Mary began following the Ray Hunt/Buck Brannaman style of horsemanship in 2012.

sERVICES

Private Lessons

I offer private lessons ($60), semi privates ($50 each), and off site lessons (starting at $70 + mileage). These are a guaranteed way to get an intense hour of education. I try to keep my lessons work heavy, but fun. I want you to get a lot of our your hour!!

Mini Clinics

These two hour “mini” clinics are $40 a person. They vary in topic from clinic to clinic, but allow people a glimpse into my training and teaching style. They’re fun, in a non judgmental environment, and for all ages and disciplines.

Off Site Clinics

I am available to travel to teach Mini Clinics and full day clinics! Pricing depends on host’s needs, number of students, distance, etc.

Training/Training Board

I do offer training board. It’s $900/month to send your horse for a start, restart, basic training, or special circumstances. Horses live out 24/7 in same sex herds. They are worked 4-5x a week. Training board takes place in Mocksville, NC.

I believe in knowing your teacher's teachers. I purposefully curated my list of teachers based upon their continuous education. All my teachers continue to seek education from their own teachers. I believe this makes them even more invaluable to me and my study of the horse.
